Piano Collection and Recycling
Professional piano recycling
We all love a piano whether it’s the sound, looks or just nostalgia but unfortunately the time does come eventually for them to go to the big concert hall in the sky. Luckily piano’s are nearly 100% recyclable with the majority of a piano made from wood and metal. The biggest challenge with recycling a piano is collecting it, as they are very heavy and damage can easily occur when trying to get the piano out of the property. To move pianos out of the property we use a set of piano wheels which fit under the piano and then we can wheel it easily along the floor. Please note although all the care in the world is taken to get the piano out of properties, we accept no responsibility for damage to property while removing the piano. For a more affordable alternative, we can simply collect your old piano from a garage, shed, patio, driveway or garden.

Types of pianos we collect and recycle
Upright pianos are the standard tall piano with a straight back and keys. These pianos are more common in the household due to their smaller size and can easily be stood against a wall. The grand piano is the stereotypical piano, with a large flat body and can be extremely large and heavy. With a grand piano we will require professional help due to needing a piano shoe to safely move these out of the property. We will arrange this to be a seamless process but unfortunately the cost to collect and recycle a grand piano is considerably higher than that of an upright piano.
